A Tragedy of Manners
Sure, we are kind Kind of rude that is
;phin
Sometime ago, i caught the movie The Ugly Truth . And i must say, i was fascinated by the dialogue. Unfortunately, not at all it was written by Nicole Eastman.
"Which one is Gerard Butler uh?" , asked a 20- something-year-old-girl behind me in an unfortunate cardigan.
"Neh, that one lor.", answered her magnificiently astute friend, helpfully.
"Third one from the left"
"Which one?" ,pleaded the first girl, obviously suffering the little-known-mental-effect of wearing ugly clothing.
"Aiyoh, One , two , three," counted the smart one. " You dont know your left is it?"
Under most circumstances, i will not publicly object to such display of such sparkling conversation. Afterall, there's nothing more heartwarming than a demostration of helping out your fellow lian when she is in need of navigational guidiance and a refresher course on counting to 5. Unfortunately, we are not in a rose garden having afternoon tea.
"Excuse me, do you mind?" as i turned to face them.
They looked at me confused for a long moment.
You may have read by now that we, Singaporeans are a a gracious lot.Oh, yes. According to the results of the recent survey by the Singapore Kindness Movement, only a one in 10 Singaporeans are unhappy with the level of graciousness- and yes, i am the one.
And, being that one person out of the 10, i once again find myself stuffed in the cramped, windowless basement along with the rest of the huddled minority.
How is it possible that people can stand having someone's foot resting on the back of your cinema seating, and as if paying 10 mucks for a movie is an equivalent to a simulator ride with free massage. So, i suppose, the 9 out of 10 people hasn't left their homes since the day they graduated from day care and considers their houseplant to be most decent and charming.
Woohoo!
I think we ALL should learn. Then again, how. Kindness is different from manners. Kindness are that you help old ladies cross the road, and manners are like holding the door open. The next time someone hold the door for you, utter a word of thank or a smile would suffice, chances are that he is not on community service for punching his clumsy dentist.

p.s to no one in particular
next time when you want to utter mean things to people, make sure you ain't guilty of it. And do not. I repeat do not, accuse people of not keeping up with you when you put them second, its not their fault. Humans need to feel their worth too, a little appreciation helps.
She's that girl
The name 'Brenda' stands for 'sword', which I perceive as being linked to violence. But no, I don't see myself as a violent person. The most I do is curse and swear like a sailor, and perhaps punch a few pillows and kick a few walls. But I'd never lay a finger on people(or so i claim).
And also. according to bestf, i'll combust without guys.
To top that up, you will have not problem trying to spot me along the streets. With my not-exactly-very-toned-down hair, and my shorts, yes, Singapore's way to hot to be in jeans.
Personality wise, I'm close to being crazy. I drive people nuts when the inner bitch release. So in short, you can either say that I brighten up your life, or that I drive you up the wall. It can only be one way or the other. No in-betweens.
Basically, I have a problem with authority.I never liked being told what to do and when told not to do something, all the more i'd do it-just to annoy the person (like, duh.)
Yours truly,do not believe in rules-strapped life, strongly thinks that life should be lived the way you want to and no compromises made.Of course minus the reality chunk.Partying is like a hobbie to me, just like how stamp collecting is to other, but partying is much more fun!
Not only does it allows me to meet interesting personas of all kind and yes, grooving to the music is a great workout- keeps me very much in shape. My girls are the bestest people to club with, ever
In case you failed to figure, my girls are one of the greatest thing that happened to me in life.Friends are a whole big deal in my life, plays a huge part in major break-ups and events.By and by, i love them to bits and they know it.
I have the tendancy to forget what i want to say mid-sentence,so just let me finish.I'm not as dramatic as so many friends claimed.I hate crossing the roads, proudly proclaimed my love for whipcreme, icecreams and cakes. I can be completely bought over by sweet treats, Starbucks and surprises.Small details matters alot to me, a little gesture, a smile, and kids warms my heart.I love that warm fuzzy feeling i get when watch kids play.
I'm not exactly the most random person you will find around and am totally, erm, not a bimbo.
Meanwhile, please make do with the photos untill i get better ones.
